Overview

Rosiello Restaurant, nestled on Via Santo Strato in the heart of Napoli, presents an authentic immersion into Southern Italy’s rich culinary heritage. This multi-level venue offers sweeping views of the bay and the iconic Vesuvius, making it as much a visual delight as a gastronomic one. Whether you arrive for a family gathering, a romantic dinner, or a business meal, Rosiello embraces an ambience that balances tradition and comfort with seaside charm.

The menu highlights the bounties of the Mediterranean with standout dishes such as Polipo In Insalata — a delicate octopus salad bursting with fresh lemons — and the Risotto with Sea Food, where the rice is infused with the briny essence of the sea. Another must-try is the Octopus with Tomatoes, Black Olives, and Capers, a dish that pays homage to Napoli’s coastal flavors through a perfect marriage of tangy and savory notes.

For pasta enthusiasts, selections like Spaghetti Con Vongole and Pasta Con Pescato Di Mare highlight the use of freshly caught shellfish and fish, anchoring each dish in regional authenticity. The Linguine Cozze E Peperoncini Verdi offers a subtle kick, enhanced by the natural sweetness of local mussels, while the Impepata Di Cozze is a simple yet exquisite preparation showcasing fresh mussels in a peppery broth.

The Frittura Di Paranza, a mixed fry of the freshest catch, delivers a crispy texture and lightness that complements the sun-drenched coastline atmosphere. Delightful finishing touches like the classic Torta Al Baba' add a sweet, lingering note to an already memorable meal, embodying Napoli’s knack for exquisite desserts.

Customer impressions echo the restaurant’s strengths. Loutfi Saleh praises the view and quality, highlighting dishes like baby calamari and octopus linguini, while Kati Raisher notes the exceptional freshness and taste of the fried squid against the backdrop of stunning vistas. Local insights from Kayman emphasize Rosiello’s commitment to tradition—handmade buffalo mozzarella prepared daily, fresh seafood caught along the Naples shores, and an atmosphere steeped in heritage rather than tourist trappings.

Jessica Lavooij and Miki Noam underline the value of venturing a short distance beyond central Naples for this authentic experience. Freshness is paramount, and the food consistently rises to the top, making the journey more than worthwhile. The slightly uneven service mentioned by some patrons seems a minor trade-off for the culinary treasures offered.

Overall, Rosiello Restaurant stands as a beacon of Napoli’s coastal cuisine, artfully combining quality ingredients, a family-friendly yet elegant space, and a sense of place anchored by extraordinary views. It invites diners to savor seafood as it was meant to be enjoyed—fresh, skillfully prepared, and accompanied by the gentle sea breeze of the Gulf of Naples.

When you come to Napoli you come to heritage and culture. Stay away from tourist spots and try what locals do… this is truly a place for a meal with family or a couple or even business dinner. It is Italian delight, everything is done the way it should be done in older days. They still make buffalo mozzarella by hand with buffalo milk and you will never find it anywhere other than Napoli. It is suppose to be eaten same day it is prepared and should never be refrigerated. Followed by an amazing fried calamari and mussels which are fresh from the shores of Napoli. The saying is you should only eat mussels in the months where G comes.. June, July and August. June and July in Italian are spelled with G. Local champagne of Napoli is called Franciacorta.. (short of France) this is local champagne and it is a different ball game all together. In Italy you have to ignore service as the service in this place is bad… but food is something a treat to die for… this restaurant is on three story building with outdoor view of seaside.. beautiful breeze in summer makes it even an experience.. so do as locals do… that’s the trick… enjoy

Beautiful views of the bay and Vesuvius. Food is stunningly delicious. The calamari might not look like much but it is probably the bast I had. Fish and desserts were exceptional as well
